Orla, a young, poor, Sheep Shear form Leitrim, Ireland, has a sublime singing voice that propels a Dublin-famous rock band straight through the hairband and grunge artists. Orla takes pride in lifting her family from generational poverty and giving back to the Emerald Isle with a large-scale children's charity. Sadly, the force that drove her voracious, self-taught singing, alone at night in an empty church for years, was fueled in part by seeing her father's brutal murder as a child. Orla never told anyone what she witnessed to protect her family. That and other hard-kept secrets lead to anxiety, guilt, night terrors, and cutting, which coalesced and wrapped around the love and beauty in her life like a strangulating Cobra, creating a double-helix of conflict too powerful to remain unresolved.
